Andrew Boyle

Age: 35

Sex: male

Date: 13 Jan 1942

Place: 5 Schipka Pass, Glasgow

Andrew Boyle died from head injuries.

He was found unconscious in a pool of blood in a house at 5 Schipka Pass, Glasgow on the night of 13 January 1942. He had staggered into the house which was occupied by two people that he knew.

He had severe head injuries and died a few minutes after the police arrived.

It was thought that he had received his injuries outside the house and that he had then dragged himself inside.

It was said before he died, he had said that he had fallen from a tramcar. However, it was heard that no incident of that kind had been traced and that it was unclear as to whether he had died by accident or by assault.

He had been a seaman but had not been to sea for some time and had been working as a carter at the time and living in lodging houses.
