Emma Baker

Emma Baker was found dead at her home.

She was last seen in December 1923.

She was said to have been aged between 30 and 40.

She was found dead in the scullery of her house at 34 Surrenden Road in Folkestone after the police effected an entrance by a bedroom window.

Emma Baker had lived alone and had not been seen since about Christmas 1923.

Her post-mortem examination found no signs of starvation or violence. There were signs of alcoholism, but nothing to show the cause of death.

She was said to have been dead for some weeks.

The jury at her inquest returned a verdict of Found Dead.
