Mustafa was found dead at his flat in Jamaica Road on the Pynfolds Estate in Bermondsey on Wednesday, 12 May 2021.
The police were called out at about 11.55am following reports that a man was found unresponsive at the address. However he was pronounced dead at the scene.
His cause of death was given as head injuries.
He had lived in a ground floor flat which was accessible by the main entrance from the car park and from Jamaica Road via the patio and a glass door.
The police said that they thought they knew his full name but didn't disclose it. Mustafa was said to have come from Turkey where he was thought to have two sons. He was said to have not spoken much English.
